I once came across a Medium post about selling printables on Etsy. As easy and dumb as it may sound, there’s actually a market for that. And I wasn’t even aware of it.

But I kept on inspecting and seeing what products were the most sold on Etsy. I then came across the idea of selling not just printables but digital products like spreadsheets.

It turns out that I love spreadsheets and use them daily for my personal stuff. These are some examples I use:

  • Financial Tracker: I track my expenses, income, investments… I also draw stats from that data and even have a nice dashboard to see it all graphically.
  • Clothing: I’m into minimalism in that sense and I only buy clothes when I need them. And I always buy the same products. That’s why I have a spreadsheet with all the products I consume in that sense so I can go directly to those URLs and buy when I need to.
  • Habits Tracker: building habits is a conscious process at first until they become unconscious. That’s why I like to track them using a spreadsheet, so I can objectively know whether I’m moving places or not.

So I did what was natural and obvious to do: sell one of those spreadsheets I use…
