Hi Jason... I don't know why this happens. If you've duplicated the native iTerm and checked "Open using Rosetta" in its settings, it should be enough to work. However, a possibility that I've found is that you might not have rosetta installed.

Based on what I've seen in https://hackernoon.com/apple-m1-chip-how-to-install-homebrew-using-rosetta-su12331b, you could try to install/update rosetta just in case you don't have it by running softwareupdate --install-rosetta. Make sure you first delete your intel iTerm and, after running that command, start it all over by duplicating the app, selecting the "Open using Rosetta" option and finally running the curl command.

Let me know if that works because I might put it into the guide in case anyone else find themselves in the same situation.
